Dempo striker Joaquim Abranches got the nod in place of Manandeep Singh in what has been the only change from the Nehru Cup squad.

Young Pune FC striker Jeje Lalpekhlua still continues to be on the sidelines as he did not figure in the squad. He was also not in the 20-member Nehru Cup squad though he was among the probables.

The squad will leave for Singapore on October 13 in three batches from Kolkata, Mumbai and Delhi.

"We need to assess ourselves. We need more such matches," Koevermans said.

Sunil Chhetri, who captained India in the Nehru Cup, said, "It feels nice to think that I will be playing for the national team along with all my mates. The Nehru Cup triumph stays fresh in our memories and we need to sustain the momentum."

The Squad:

Goalkeepers: Subrata Pal, Subhasish Roychowdhury, Karanjeet Singh.

Defenders: Nirmal Chhetri, Denzil Franco, Gouramangi Singh, Gurwinder Singh, Raju Gaikwad, Syed Rahim Nabi.

Midfielders: Lenny Rodrigues, Mehtab Hossain, Jewel Raja, Francis Fernandes, Alwyn George, Anthony Pereira, Sanju Pradhan, Clifford Miranda.

Forwards: Robin Singh, Sunil Chhetri, Joaquim Abranches.
