Taking time out from his hectic IPL schedule, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) skipper Virat Kohli was seen boosting the spirit of city runners before a 10 kilometer run here today.

The Indian batsman joined sports brand Adidas to meet 800 runners at the Kanteerava Stadium and charged them up for their next big run.

Before the runners took on the track, Kohli shared his passion for running and useful fitness tips with fellow running enthusiasts. He went on to address the young runners and encouraged them to continue their love for running and take it to the next level.

Speaking at the run, Kohli said, "Running is not just essential to success on the cricket field, but is also a key element of my fitness regime. I am extremely passionate about running and last week I benefited by getting my gait analysis done at the adidas stall, and also gained useful tips on the appropriate footwear based on my foot type and running style."

The Kohli-led RCB, who are lying at the sixth spot in the IPL table, take on Chennai Super Kings in Ranchi on Sunday.
