Kokilaben Ambani inaugurates guest house at Somnath

Kokilaben Ambani, wife of late Dhirubhai Ambani, founder of Reliance Industries, inaugurated a guest house at Somnath for pilgrims visiting the temple town.

At the inauguration of guest house named Sagar Darshan yesterday, built by Reliance Group of Industries, Kokilaben said that the guest house will be very beneficial for pilgrims visiting the famous Lord Shiva's temple at Somnath, which is first among the 12 Jyotirlings of India.

"He (Dhirubhai Ambani) had a great faith in Lord Shiva and grew up in Chorwad village (near Somnath)...It was due to blessings of Lord Shiva that he achieved so much," she said.
 

Kokilaben also donated a sum of Rs 31 lakh to the district collector for development of malnourished children in the Gir-Somnath district.

She said though people come out generously and donate for good cause but only proper use of donation brings change.

Chairman of Somnath Trust Keshubhai Patel, Rajya Sabha MP Parimal Nathwani, MP Chunibhai Gohil, district collector and others were also present at the function.
