The condition of cricketer Rahul Ghosh, who was hospitalised after sustaining a head injury during a local league match, is stable and he seems to be recovering well, but the doctors at a city hospital today said they would still keep him under observation in ICU.
"His pulse rate, blood pressure is normal. He's talking, feeling hungry and there's no dizziness or feeling of nausea," medical director of Nightingale Hospital Dr Sabyasachi Sen told PTI.
The Police cricketer, who was hit on the head in their CAB Second Division match against Vijay SC, however, will be kept under observation and the doctors have ruled out any immediate discharge from the hospital.

Earlier, Sports Minister in charge Arup Biswas had come to visit Ghosh in the hospital and assured the family of full support for the youngster's treatment.
"The Chief Minister (Mamata Banerjee) is very anxious and concerned about Ghosh's health. She wants his full recovery and has ensured all support. We have asked the hospital authorities for best of treatment without thinking about the expense," said Biswas.
Ghosh's injury had come at a time when the cricket world was yet to recover from the tragic death of former U-19 Bengal captain Ankit Keshri, who had died of cardiac arrest at the same hospital on April 20, three days after getting hit on head while taking a catch.
