Kolkata police to question Kunal Ghosh

The Kolkata police will soon interrogate suspended Trinamool Congress MP Kunal Ghosh, who is presently in Bidhannagar police custody, in connection with the Saradha chit fund scam, a senior police official today said.

"We made a plea at the Bidhannagar court and our plea has been granted. The investigating officers of Park Street and Bhawanipore police stations can now question Kunal Ghosh, whenever the needs arises," DC (DD special) Sumanjit Ray said.

The bail plea of Ghosh was rejected and he was remanded to five days' police custody on November 24. He was arrested by Bidhanangar police on November 23.
 

Cases related to Saradha scandal have also been filed in several police stations under the jurisdiction of Kolkata police.

Asked if the Kolkata Police is planning to take Kunal Ghosh in its custody, Ray said, "As of now we can't say anything in this matter.
