Defending champions Kolkata Port Trust retained the All India Major Ports Hockey Championship for 2013-14 here today.
It remained at the top of the table with 10 points. V O Chidambarnar Port got the silver medal with 7 points and Visakhapatnam Port Trust got bronze with 6 points.
In a nail-biting finishing round robin league match, Kolkata Port beat Visakhapatnam Port (VPT) 2-1.
In the last 30 seconds, VPT got a penalty corner but missed the chance.
Junas Bara of Kolkata Port got Best Player of the Tournament award. Bala Murugan of V O Chidambarnar Port was adjudged Best Defender, Prakash Toppo of Kolkata Port as Best Mid Fielder, Leonard Ferera of Mumbai Port as Best Forward and S Ramakrishna of Visakhapatnam Port as Best Goalkeeper.
Chairman of Visakhapatnam Port Trust R P S Kahlon gave away the trophies.
