KOOH Sports launches cricket talent hunt

KOOH Sports, which is engaged in imparting sports education in India, today launched a talent hunt 'Beyond 22 Yards' under which selected young cricketers will get an opportunity to intern and travel with IPL team Rajasthan Royals.

Rajasthan Royals leg-spinner Pravin Tambe kick started the programme today.

"Rajasthan Royals is happy to partner with KOOH Sports for the Cricket Development Centre initiative. KOOH Sports Cricket Development Centre aims to help the students hone their basic cricket skills, playing techniques, and also stresses on their physical conditioning. We sincerely hope this programme will go a long way in instructing and motivating the children to aim for the highest levels in cricket," Rajasthan Royals CEO Raghu Iyer said in a statement.
 

The interns will be chosen from the KOOH Sports Cricket academies and the internship is for kids between 15 to 20 years of age while the selected talent below 15 years of age will be awarded with a scholarship at the academy.

"We are thrilled to launch 'Beyond 22 Yards', the initiative that will give the handpicked talent a professional insight into the game. Our focus at KOOH Sports is on holistic development and training of kids that goes beyond classrooms and into the playing fields. By launching this internship we are giving the children a direct access to the professional game," KOOH Sports CEO Prabhu Srinivasan said.
