Indian defender Kothajit Singh marked his 100th international appearance as the men's hockey team took on Japan in the four-match Test series starting here today.
Kothajit made his debut in the year 2012 and is regarded as a crucial player in the defence line within the team.
The 22-year-old player from Imphal has contributed through his outstanding performance on the field in every match that he has played.
Congratulating Kothajit on his achievement, Hockey India President Narinder Dhruv Batra said, "Hockey India is extremely delighted for Kothajit's achievement of 100 international matches. The defender has been an integral part of Indian team and Hockey India takes utmost pride in congratulating him on his accomplishment of 100 International Caps.
