Goa government has selected KPMG Advisory Services-led consortium for preparation of the state's tourism master plan and tourism policy, the Legislative Assembly was informed today.
"Services of M/s KPMG Advisory Services Pvt Ltd-led consortium for the work of preparation of the Tourism Master Plan and Tourism Policy are engaged. As per the scope of work, two modules have been submitted by the Consultant and further work is in progress," Tourism Minister Dilip Parulekar told the House while responding to a question tabled by BJP MLA Michael Lobo.
He said framing of state policy is one of the components under the scope of work of "Preparation of Tourism Master Plan and the Tourism Policy for the state of Goa."
"The complete work is divided into two phases. While the planning phase has to be completed within 38 weeks from the start of work, the second phase of programme management is of five years from the notice to proceed, during which execution of the Master Plan and State Policy will be done," he added.
