"There has been grave discrimination with the Jammu region on all the sector of activities from employment to development. We warn the government to end the discrimination and ensure equal development of the region," Anan Sharma, Working Chairman of Kranti Dal told reporters here.
Sharma, who welcomed 28 youth activists in his party, criticised the state government for its anti-youth policy and assured the youth that Kranti Dal will raise their issues at the highest level.
Opposing the government employees's demand to enhance the retirement age, he said, "Don't increase retirement age due to heavy rush of unemployment."
He said the government should instead announce special employment package for the youth and carry out special police recruitment drives.
The government should bring fresh policy for unemployed youth and the previous recruitment policy which was anti-youth should be discarded, he said.
Sharma demanded regularisation of daily wagers who have completed five years, easy loan facilities to be made available to youth, and setting up basic pay scale for private teachers.
