Basmati rice exporter KRBL today posted a 20 per cent fall in its net profit at Rs 65.78 crore for the quarter ended December 2015 due to fall in sales.
The company had clocked a net profit of Rs 82.52 crore in the year-ago period.
Net sales of the company declined to Rs 703.84 crore in the October-December quarter of the current fiscal from Rs 764.51 crore in the year-ago period, the company said in a regulatory filing.

The company sells basmati rice under the brand name 'India Gate' and has a strong presence both in India and the markets abroad.
The company has the capacity to process 1.4 million tonnes of paddy per annum. In the last financial year, KRBL's turnover stood at Rs 3,203 crore.
