Press Trust of India Hyderabad
Telangana Government today alleged that the Krishna River Management Board (KRMB) was acting against the interests of the state.

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao objected to KRMB allegedly taking unilateral decisions without consulting Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, an official release said here.

They have written separate letters to the Centre with their objections, it said.

The Chief Minister urged the Centre that no notification on different aspects of the Board should be issued without the share of Telangana in Krishna water being determined, it said.

Harish Rao alleged the Board was trying to take the projects in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh under its control, the release added.

KRMB has been set up by the Centre under an Act for the administration, regulation, maintenance and operation of projects on the Krishna River.
