Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation (KSIDC) will promote Ayurveda globally and has signed agreements with several countries, officials said.

KSIDC has signed seven Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) on various projects during the Global Ayurveda festival here in which representatives from 22 foreign countries participated in the Business Meet and the B2B sessions over two days on February 21 and 22, a statement said.

The MoUs signed were mostly for promoting joint ventures with representatives of foreign countries and included Indo-Slovenian, Indo-French, Indo-British and Indo-Canadian ventures in Ayurveda and related areas.

The main motive behind this sectoral thrust by KSIDC is to propagate Ayurveda as an effective system of medicine in various countries and destinations abroad, the statement said.

Managing Director, Aruna Sundararajan, signed the MoU on behalf of KSIDC. A special cell has been constituted in KSIDC to facilitate the projects under Ayurveda, it said.
