Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today said Kukrail forest area here will be developed for tourists in the next three years.
Inaugurating a 'Van Mahotsav' by planting a sapling and "school chalo abhiyan" by distributing bags to children, he said programmes of this nature provide opportunities for the development of the area.
"It is very important that we have a forest in the state capital which also has an internationally renowned crocodile breeding centre. Lucknow has great potential for ecotourism. The forest department will develop Kukrail for tourists with all modern facilities in three years time," Adityanath said.

Likewise, other ministers will take part in the drive in other districts of the state, he said and appealed to the people to make it a grand success.
During the 'Van Mahotsav', 6.55 crore saplings will be planted, of which 4.3 crore will be planted by the forest department and rest by other government departments like the PWD, irrigation, rural development and education.
