Amid speculations that Aam Aadmi Party's Kumar Vishwas would contest Lok Sabha election against Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi, after the party's impressive debut in Delhi Assembly polls, Kumar was unable to participate in a rally organised here today.
Kumar could not attend 'Jhadu Sandesh Yatra' here as he was busy in preparations for Delhi Chief Minister designate Arvind Kejriwal's swearing-in ceremony in the capital tomorrow, AAP's District Convener Hanumant Singh said.
Nearly two hundred people made it to the rally here, but Hanumant did not comment on the show of strength at the yatra.
However, Congress' district president Yogendra Mishra said Amethi was home to Gandhi family and no one can "disenchant" people in the city, which is the family's stronghold.
