Madhya Pradesh will host a two-day international symposium on "Religion For Welfare of Humankind" as part of a series of symposia to be held occasion of Simhastha (Kumbh Mela) 2016.
It will be held at Indore from October 24-26, 2015. Over 150 philosophers, subject experts and scholars of repute from across the world will be participating in the symposium, an official of Public Relation Department said today.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan while chairing a high level meeting at Mantralaya here yesterday reviewed the preparations on the issue.

The Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be the chief guest on the occasion.
Similarly, Bhopal will be hosting a symposium focussing on Environment and Climate Change on November 21-22.
Environmental experts from SAARC countries will participate in the symposium.
The meeting was informed that representatives of different religions, faiths and beliefs will be invited to participate in the symposium on Religion for Welfare of Humankind.
They will speak on sub-topics like world Peace, nature and environment, human dignity, moral and spiritual values inherent in multi-religion and culturalism.
The Minister for Tourism and culture Surendra Patwa, Rajya Sabha MP, Anil Madhav Dave and Chief Secretary Antony De Sa attended the meeting.
