A city court today extended till December 12 the judicial remand of suspended Trinamool Congress MP Kunal Ghosh, Saradha chief Sudipta Sen and his associate Debjani Mukherjee, who was denied bail in the chitfund scam case.

Sessions Judge Barun Roy of Bankshall Court granted CBI's plea for extension of judicial remand of Ghosh, Sen and Mukherjee.

Mukherjee's counsel moved a bail prayer claiming that she has been in custody for a long time and considering that she is a woman, bail be granted to her.

CBI opposed the bail prayer stating that Mukherjee was director of Saradha Tours and Travels and had allegedly siphoned off public money to the tune of Rs 9.5 crore.

The prayer was rejected by the judge.
