Suspended Trinamool Congress MP Kunal Ghosh, one of the main accused in the multi-crore Saradha chit fund scam, today told a city court that he be interrogated by CBI along with Saradha group CMD Sudipta Sen and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.

Ghosh, while making his own submission before a special CBI court here, appealed to the judge, Arvind Mishra, that he should be questioned along with Sen and Banerjee by the central agency.

Ghosh himself wanted to be taken in CBI custody.

The CBI counsel submitted the Saradha group had collected Rs 1,259 crore from the market, of which Rs 988 crore had been invested in Bengal Media, a fully-owned Saradha Group company of which Ghosh was the CEO.

The CBI counsel claimed Ghosh was involved in the conspiracy and it was to unveil a larger conspiracy that CBI was taking Ghosh's custody.

The judge granted CBI custody of Ghosh till september 12.

Sudipta Sen and Debjani Mukherjee were also produced in the court and sent to judicial custody till September 18.
