Retired IAS officer Kusumjit Sidhu and Anjuli Chandra were today sworn is as chairperson and member of Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission (PSERC) respectively.
Punjab Irrigation and Power Minister Rana Gurjeet Singh administered the oath of office and secrecy to Sidhu, a retired Punjab cadre IAS officer of the 1979 batch, and Chandra, a retired Chief Engineer of the Central Electricity Authority (CEA).
The duties of the commission as per the Electricity Act, 2003 include determining the tariff, transmission and wheeling charges, and making various regulations.
