Kendriya Vidyalaya teachers may not be transferred more than twice in their careers and that too in particular zones as the HRD ministry which runs them is working on streamlining the transfer procedures.

"I am discussing the issue, no final discussion has been taken yet. We are considering a system where there will be zonal recruitment, only zonal transfers, and there will tenure posting," Union HRD minister Prakash Javadekar said while speaking at an event here.

Rather than several transfers in a service tenure, there can be a system that there are transfers only twice, the HRD minister said.

Javadekar added that some people are repeatedly transferred while others are shifted several times.

He said that sometime MPs also come regarding transfers and he feels bad somewhere as this is not our job.

"We will provide you a system where u will not need to approach anybody and you will still get justice," Javadekar said at an event organised by the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan.

The HRD ministry runs over 1100 KVs across the country and also in some foreign countries.
