KVIC chairman to visit Rajasthan to reboot Khadi

In an effort to popularise Khadi with contemporary designs, the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) will visit Rajasthan to discuss production, sales and review the performance of the homespun fabric.

The Chairman of Khadi and Village Industries Commission Vinai Kumar Saxena will be on a two day visit to Rajasthan on November 28 and 29 to meet with Khadi institutions to discuss production, sales and review their performance.

"Saxena will be meeting Khadi institutions, bankers, handmade paper manufactures, weavers and khadi activists. He will visit Bassi, Madhopur, Rajavas, Baniyana and Dausa to meet artisans and visit khadi sales outlets," Baldhari Singh, Director of the commission said.
 

"He will also inaugurate the khadi exhibition in Bajaj nagar Jaipur," he said.

Singh said that the Chairman will also discuss with the representatives of Khadi institutions on how to make Khadi more popular with latest designs.
