KVs to extend best practices in scholastic, non-scholastic

HRD ministry run Kendriya Vidyalaya schools will now extend to government schools in their vicinity the best practices in scholastic as well as non scholastic areas.

In order to play an effective role of a pace setting institution, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan aims to provide a platform to government schools not only to share the best practices but also to exchange the best resources for ensuring excellence in pursuit of scholastic and co-scholastic activities in school system, a statement released here said.

Besides this, Kendriya Vidyalayas and government schools can collaborate in community service initiatives undertaken by the government, it added.
 

Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan will approach various Central, state government and Public Sector Undertakings to sponsor this initiative under Corporate Social Responsibility scheme, the statement said.

The scheme is likely to be launched from the academic session 2017-18.

Among others aims, the scheme will give exposure to the students of government schools, to visit and witness the Social Science Exhibition-cum- National Integration Camps, Jawaharlal Nehru Science Exhibition and other events organized at various levels.

It also aims to help the children of government schools to undertake the experiments and perform practicals in participatory mode with KV students under the supervision of KV teachers in mobile labs having the facility of major gadgets of Physics, Chemistry, Bio Labs, Computers, Library etc.
