Actor James Cromwell has been sentenced to seven days of jail time after refusing to pay a USD 375 fine related to his arrest in 2015 at a protest in New York.
The 77-year-old actor was one of six environmental protestors found guilty of obstructing traffic when they staged a demonstration in December two years ago on the site of Competitive Power Ventures' power plant in the town.
A Wawayanda, NY, court decided that Cromwell and two other environmental activists Pramilla Malick and Madeline Shaw, who have also not yet paid their fine, will have to spend a week in jail in July, reported Variety.
Cromwell will serve his time in Orange County Jail.
