Firing a fresh salvo, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today attacked Lt. Governor Anil Baijal for "stalling" the mohalla clinics file for a year "at the behest of the BJP".
Mohalla clinics are aimed at providing free primary healthcare to city residents closer home.
After laying the foundation stone for a sewer line project in Burari, Kejriwal said his government wanted to build 1,000 mohalla clinics in the entire city "but the L-G did not sign the files".

"He was sitting on the files for one year. The BJP and Congress have lost the elections...the BJP is stalling my work through the L-G. For one whole year the work on mohalla clinics was stalled, who was at loss-- the public," he said.
"We all went to the L-G and said until the file is cleared we will not go. Within 24 hours, he had to relent and sign the files. We will build 1,000 clinics within a year. Many problems are coming in our way. But have faith! All the works will be done...," Kejriwal said.
The sewer project is likely to benefit nearly 2 lakh people living in Jharoda Majra village, Jagatpur Village and Hardev Nagar, Jharoda extension, Surender Colony, Bhagwan Park, Milan Vihar and Dipanshu colony.
"I promise this sewer line will be completed before the next elections," he said.
He lamented that basic facilities like water and sewer lines have not reached every household in the national capotal even after 70 years of Independence.
He promised that in the next two-and-half years of his government, all the irregular colonies, where poor people reside, would have roads and water facilities.
On September 4, the L-G had approved Delhi government's ambitious mohalla clinics proposal with certain riders, a week after a run-in with the AAP dispensation over the alleged delay in giving nod to the scheme.
On August 30, 45 AAP MLAs had camped at the L-G office for several hours, insisting that Baijal clear the Mohalla clinics file, an act his office termed as "laying siege" to the office of a "constitutional functionary".
