The professional products division of L'Oreal India Private Limited will spread out to more towns for making their products available at salons.

"At present we are present in 350 towns and cities across the country. We plan to spread out to more places in future," director of L'Oreal Professional Products division, Aseem Kaushik told PTI.

Paris-based L'Oreal clocked a revenue of Rs 2,500 crore from Indian operations. This included sales of hair and skin care products sold through retail stores across the country.

Kaushik said the professional products unit was the second highest revenue earner for the company in India.

He said professional products were available only in the salons and not in the retail stores and presently, the company was selling its products to 35,000 salons in the country.

The other brands of L'Oreal were Garnier and Maybelline.

The company had taken an initiative to train and educate hairdressers across the country and had also organised the annual Indian Hairdressing Awards.
