Engineering and construction major Larsen & Toubro today said its construction arm has won contracts worth Rs 1,376 core in power transmission and distribution business this month.
"In the domestic market, the solar business has bagged multiple orders from a reputed solar power developer for the engineering, procurement and construction of 115 MWp solar installations in the southern part of the country," the company said in a statement.
Upon completion, the total installed capacity of solar plants by the company would be 643 MWp, one of the highest executed by an Indian EPC company, it said.

"In the international market, the business has made a strategic breakthrough in Malawi, Africa, by bagging an order for the construction of two 400/132kV substations on EPC basis. Another order has been bagged in the Middle East for engineering, procurement and construction of a 220kV substation from a reputed customer," the statement said.
L&T is engaged in technology, engineering, construction, manufacturing and financial services with over $15 billion in revenue. It operates in over 30 countries.
