L&T General Insurance CEO Joydeep Roy quits

L&T General Insurance chief executive Joydeep Roy has quit the company citing personal reasons.

Roy, who was serving a notice period, was not available for comments. He was with the company since its inception more than five years ago.

L&T General Insurance closed FY'14 with gross written premium (GWP) at Rs 253 crore, registering a growth of 40 per cent. As of April end, the company had registered GWP of Rs 26 crore. It is into both retail and corporate health insurance.

"The board of the company has already initiated the process of appointing a person to replace Roy," a company spokesperson said.
