L&T opens service centre in Butibori

Engineering and construction major Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has opened a service centre in the city for the servicing of construction and mining equipment.

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) is the authorised distributor of equipment and parts manufactured by Japan's Komatsu and Swedish Scania, for the Indian market.

The facility was recently opened by Executive Vice-President and Head-Machinery Group, S R Subramanian. Komatsu India's Managing Director K Mizuhara was also present.

The service centre is located in the expanding area of MIDC's Butibori, about 30 km from the city.

Nagpur has a huge number of L&T-supplied Komatsu and Scania machines operating in coal, limestone and manganese mining projects.
 

The service centre has in-house capabilities and expertise in rebuilding equipment and components. Additionally, it provides end-to-end solution from erection and commissioning of equipment at site to complete repair and maintenance solution for life cycle management, through its specialised manpower.

The centre will cover eastern parts of Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh.

L&T's other service centres are located in Kanchipuram (south), Pune (west), Bahadurgarh (north) and Durgapur (east), a company release said.
