A Class VIIth student of a government girls school was allegedly molested by a lab assistant in North-East Delhi's Nand Nagri, police said today.
Netram, who worked at Sarvodaya Balika Vidyalaya, molested the 13-year-old girl on the pretext of giving her a pen, AK Singla, Deputy Commissioner of Police (North-East) said.
She had stopped going to the school after the incident due to the trauma and humiliation, police said.

Following the girl's complaint, her parents visited the school to lodge their protest and seek police action against the accused lab assistant but the principal of the school did nothing, they said.
A case was registered under relevant provisions of the IPC and POCSO Act at the Nand Nagri police station last night and the accused was arrested, the officer added.
