Labour Min panel suggests instant relief to victim workers

The Consultative Committee of the Labour Ministry today suggested for instant relief to victim workers, timely redressal of grievances and create awareness about their rights.

The meeting of the Consultative Committee was Chaired by Labour Minister Bandaru Dattatreya here today, an official release said.

The meeting confirmed the minutes of the previous meeting and discussed the agenda in detail.

"Members appreciated the initiatives taken by the Ministry and suggested ways to improve it further.

"The suggestions included instant relief to victim workers, timely redressal of workers' grievances and awareness creation among workers regarding benefits and services available to them," it said.
 

Dattatreya assured the members that their suggestions will be looked into.

He urged the members to cooperate in the endeavors of the Labour Ministry for maximising the benefits to workers.

The Members of Parliament who attended the Committee's meeting included Ladu Kishore Swain, Shankar Prasad Datta, N K Premchandran, Ramesh Bidhuri, Kaushal Kishore (all from Lok Sabha) and Pradeep Kumar Balmuchu (Rajya Sabha).
