Labour Minister congratulates Kailash Satyarthi

Union Labour Minister Narendra Singh Tomar has congratulated child rights activist Kailash Satyarthi on being chosen for the the Nobel Peace Prize.

Tomar personally conveyed his congratulatory message to Kailash Satyarthi over phone last evening and sent him a congratulatory message as well.

In his message, the minister said the annoucement has not only made made the 125 crore people of India proud but also it is a win for Indian democracy.

"I congratulate you and I hope that till the time child labour, bonded labour and child trafficking is completely stopped, your struggle will go on," Tomar said.

Girls education rights activist Malala Yousafzai and Satyarthi were named winners of the Nobel Peace Prize for 2014 by the Norwegian Nobel Committee yesterday.
