Seeking to decentralise its welfare scheme, Haryana Labour Welfare Board has directed its officers to open savings bank accounts in their names, for releasing benefits at the doorsteps of the beneficiaries.

They have been also directed to apply for the Tax Deduction and Collection Account (TAN) number immediately as they have been assigned the duties of Drawing and Disbursing Officer (DDO), a spokesman of the Board said.

He added that the work of sanctioning of cases of welfare schemes of the Board has been decentralised from the Head Office to the respective field areas of the state.

The sanctioning work of cases of schemes has already been started at field level in the offices of Labour Welfare Officer, at Gurgaon, Faridabad, Rohtak, Panipat, Yamunanagar and Hisar with effect from June 16.
