A 35-year-old labourer was killed today when a mound of dirt collapsed over him while he was digging a ditch on Parvati riverbed in Hanotiya village, police said today.
Sabunath Kalbailiya, a resident of Jaleda village, was digging a ditch this morning when he was buried him alive, SHO at Baran Sadar police station Ashish Bhargav said.
The body was handed over to the family after post-mortem and a case under section 174 of CrPC was lodged, the SHO said.
Further investigation into the matter is underway, he added.
