Labourer electrocuted, two sustained burn injuries

A labourer was electrocuted and two others sustained burn injuries when they came in contact with a live wire during installation of an electricity pole in Jakkipur village in Nawada district today.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Sanjay Pandey said the incident occurred in the village under Mufassil police station when the three labourers came in contact with a high-voltage overhead wire.

While one of them, identified as Prashanta Mal, died on the spot, the two others sustained burn injuries and taken to Sadar hospital.

Pandey said the three hailed from West Bengal.
