In a freak accident, a 22-year-old labourer today died when he was trapped between a truck and a wall while loading bags in the vehicle near Kinathukadavu on the outskirts of the city.
Rambihari Manji, a resident of Bihar, kept the bags ready for loading in the truck at a cattle feed manufacturing unit when the driver put the vehicle in reverse gear, crushing him to death, police said.
The driver fled the spot and efforts are on to nab him, they said.
