Labourers fall from 4th floor of building; 1 killed, 2 injured

A 32-year-old labourer died and two others were critically injured after they fell from the 4th floor from a building in Mansarovar Park area in northeast Delhi today.

Police said three labourers were hired by Ashok Kumar for construction of a structure to place a water tank on the fourth floor of his house at Jagjivan Nagar in Mansarovar Park.

During work, they fell to the street below.

The were rushed to a nearby hospital where Visheshwar (32) was declared brought dead. The condition of Arun (27) and Bittu (25) were stated to be critical, said a senior police officer.
 

A case under Sections 304 A (causing death by negligence), 288 (negligent conduct with respect to pulling down or the repair of a building) and 337 (causing hurt by endangering life or personal safety of others) of IPC have been registered and investigation is underway, he said.
