An Italian tourist was found dead in the Ladakh region of Jammu and Kashmir, a week after he was reported missing.
Seventy-year-old Carlo Masoero was reported missing from September 17 from Nimalimg trekking camp in Chakchang La area in Leh District, a defence spokesman said.
"The Army was approached for help in this regard on 21 September 2017. Search and rescue parties were launched to trace the missing tourist," the spokesman said.
He said the search and rescue team found the body of the missing person yesterday and handed it over to local police.
