Pop sensation Lady GaGa will appear with Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama in Indianapolis at the US Conference of Mayors annual meeting.

The pair are scheduled to address approximately 300 city leaders from around the country, reported Entertainment Weekly.

According to a release, the Dalai Lama will "focus on the global significance of building kind and compassionate cities through action at the local level."

After his remarks, Gaga, 30, will have an onstage conversation and Q&A. Former NBC News anchor Ann Curry will moderate the discussion.

Ahead of their address, Gaga retweeted one of the Dalai Lama's messages on Twitter.

"Problems created by human beings have to be solved by human beings. Basic human nature is compassionate and this is our source of hope," it reads.
