India's MMCC College lost comprehensively to University of Central Punjab from Lahore by five wickets in an encounter at the T20 Red Bull Campus Cricket World Final, here today.

Such was the supremacy of the Pakistan college team that they won the match with as many as 14 balls to spare completely dominating the proceedings.

The Indian college from Pune have lost all their matches and are out of contention for a place in the semi-finals.

Rushab Rathod, the captain of MMCC Pune said:"Everyone here is so disappointed. We expected a close game."

The Red Bull giving them a chance to savour the taste of an Indo-Pak battle is something that they will cherish for the rest of their lives.

"It was the most memorable three hours of my life, I never thought I would get the opportunity to play against Pakistan. We wanted to continue the history that India has never lost to Pakistan in a world cup so we are sorry for that."

Taimoor Sultan, the University of Central Punjab's (UCP) opening batsman, emerged as the hero for Pakistan's university team from Lahore.

"It was a very difficult game for us, God helped us and we won. It is my dream to represent my country and play for the Pakistan cricket team someday," said Sultan, the 21-year-old captain from Sargodha.
