Shillong Lajong FC, facing a relegation threat, will take on East Bengal in a must-win I-League tie here tomorrow.
The Reds are at the bottom of the league table with 15 points from as many matches and they have to win against the Kolkata giants, who are on third position with 25 points from 15 matches.
"We need to believe in our abilities. But we cannot lose on Sunday. We need to win the match to stay in the I-League," Lajong coach Thangboi Singto told the pre-match press conference.
Singto expressed confidence that his boys were well prepared thought East Bengal are not an easy opponent.
Besides Lajong, Mumbai FC and Aizawl FC too are in the relegation zone.
East Bengal coach Trevor Morgan, who was recently brought back, said both the teams need to win tomorrow's match for different reasons.
A victory will put the Kolkata side to the second position, currently occupied by their arch-rivals Mohun Bagan with 27 points.
