Shillong Lajong FC will look to keep their unbeaten run intact when they face star-studded United SC in the penultimate round of the I-League at Kalyani Stadium here tomorrow.

Unbeaten for four matches, the Shillong outfit (25 points/24 matches) still has the relegation fear looming and it would be up against a side that boasts of a top foreign recruit in Ranty Martins.

United SC have some injury worries with Costa Rican World Cupper Carlos Hernandez nursing a hamstring pull, while goalkeeper Sangram Mukherjee is recovering after a surgery.

Fresh from a 4-1 thrashing of Pailan Arrows, United SC, however, will be tough to beat at their home turf.

"They are a strong side with a few good in-form foreigners. We have to be more watchful and our players need to give their best to maintain the momentum we have gained over the last few rounds," coach Thangboi Singto said.

"With two more rounds to go we would like to pick up as many points as possible," he added.

United SC coach Eelco Schattorie, on the other hand, said they would look to finish in the top bracket.

"A win would give us the points to do that," the Dutchman said of the local team that is currently occupying the fourth spot with 38 points from 24 matches.

"Our opponents have shown lot of improvement in the last few matches. They are a talented side and have the potential to surprise anyone in the tournament. We have to be cautious and play to the best of our ability to make a match out of it," Schattorie said.
