Shillong Lajong scored two goals in each half to lift the U-19 Shillong Premier League blanking local rival Rangdajied United FC.

Rakesh Pradhan, Samuel Lalmuanpuia, Sheen Sohktung and Dameki Khongstia scored the goals at the J N Stadium encounter here.

Remaining undefeated in the tournament, Lajong scored 29 goals from 7 matches and conceded 2 goals.

Winger Rakesh Pradhan gave Lajong the lead in the 28th minute through a pass from Hardy Nongbri as he netted the ball past the keeper.

The junior reds extended the lead just before the lemon break through Samuel Lalmuanpuia who tapped home a rebound of a Rakesh Pradhan shot.

Returning from the break, Lajong dominance was seen after a two goal cushion as the players were connected really well in moving the ball around the pitch and not letting their opponents gain any momentum.

In the 55th minute, Sheen Sohktung scored the third goal for Lajong via a header.

Samuel dribbled the ball outside the box from the left and took a vicious shot towards the goal which could not be handled by the keeper and the ball returned right in front of Sheen who made no mistake in converting.

Conceding three goals, Rangdajied players tried to come back to the game and had a couple of good chances in front of the goal but lacked finishing touch.

Lajong sealed the victory with a fourth goal scored by young substitute, Dameki Khongstia in the dying minutes of the match.
