Lakshmi Vilas Bank raise Rs 168 cr through QIP

Mid-sized private sector lender Lakshmi Vilas Bank today raised Rs 167.8 croe through a qualified institutional placement of equity shares. This was the first-ever such share sale by the over 90 year old bank.

The shares were priced at Rs 140, including a premium of Rs 130. The issue opened on December 28 and was closed on December 31. Centrum Capital acted as the sole book running lead manager to the issue while Khaitan & Co was the legal advisor to the issue which was the maiden such share sale by the 90-year old lender.

French technology major Capgemini today said it has appointed Anil Jalali as the chief human resources officer in India, where it employs over 1 lakh people.

"With the successful acquisition and integration of IGATE, India is pivotal to the group's transformation plans. Strategic talent management will play a crucial role in building organisational agility going forward," its country head Srinivas Kandula said in a statement.

Jalali was earlier posted as executive director for human resources and takes over the job from BL Narayan, who has been appointed as head of solutions and sales support in the business services strategic business unit, it said.

World's largest tyre-maker and rubber company Bridgestone Corporation today announced expansion of its Olympic partnership activation rights with the IOC effective January 1.

This will enable the company to activate its partnership globally through 2024 in association with the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeong Chang, the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics and the the 2024 Olympics.

Jaspal Bindra, executive chairman of the Centrum Group has been appointed as chairman of Ficci- Maharashtra council.

Before recently joining the Centrum Group Bindra had worked with Standard Chartered Bank, UBS, and Bank of America.
