Mizoram Chief Minister Lal Thanhawla turned 76 today with felicitations pouring in from all quearters.
An official statement said that those who wished him y included members of the Indian Society of Tobacco and Health, (ISTH), Mizoram Chapter, headed by his wife Lal Riliani.
Five times Chief Minister, Lal Thanhawla is a veteran Congressman who first became the state's Chief Minister in 1984 after defeating then Chief Minister Brig. Thenphunga Sailo's People's Conference government.
In the last assembly polls in 2013, the Congress under Lal Thanwala's leadership won massive mandate by securing 34 seats of the 40 member state legislature.
