Lalit Chandra Trivedi new GM of East Central Railway

Lalit Chandra Trivedi today assumed charge of new General Manager of the East Central Railway (ECR) that has its headquarters at Hajipur in Bihar, an ECR release said here.

Rajiv Agarwal, GM of North Eastern Railway (NER), Gorakhpur, was holding additional charge of the ECR until now.

Trivedi, a 1981 batch officer of Indian Railways Service of Mechanical Engineers (IRSME), was earlier working as Principal Chief Mechanical Engineer, Integral Coach Factory, Chennai, before being appointed as the ECR GM, the release said.

Trivedi has undertaken management courses in HEC School of Management, Paris, and Carnegie Mellon University of the USA.
 

ECR comprises of five divisions - Danapur, Dhanbad, Mughalsarai, Samastipur and Sonepur.

Trivedi has won many awards at various level for excellence in academics, project execution and railway engineering, the release said adding that the Institute of Mechanical Engineers, London, granted him its fellowship.
