Lalrina, who beat Rawat by 5-3 in the final, had earlier defeated Malkeet Singh of Uttar Pradesh in the quarterfinals and then put paid to the aspirations of local lad Peter Paul in the last four stages.
With breaks of 36 and 49 in the seventh and eighth frames, Lalrina won the title clash 0-83 76-06 92-39 64-27 17-66 15-59 76-26 65-0.
