Press Trust of India Patna
RJD supremo Lalu Prasad today hailed the Supreme Court verdict restoring the Congress government in Arunachal Pradesh and demanded resignation of the Narendra Modi government accepting moral responsibility.

"The SC has passed a fair verdict restoring the Congress government in Arunachal Pradesh...The Narendra Modi government should resign accepting moral responsibility for imposing the central rule in the state," he told reporters.

Alleging that the Modi government had failed to perform "raj dharma" by dismissing an elected government in a number of states, Prasad asked for adherence to democratic norms.

Prasad also asked the Central government to abandon a confrontationist approach to the judiciary and opposition-ruled states.
