Modi, who hosted a well-attended iftar party at the Anjuman Islamia Hall, said the prayers by the fasting minority community members will be answered by the Almighty and an atmosphere of peace, amity and social harmony would prevail in the state and take it on the path of sustained development.
Legislative Council Chairman Awadesh Narayan Singh, senior BJP leader Syed Shahanwaz Hussain, Food and Consumer Protection Minister Shyam Razak, Tourism Minister Sunil Kumar 'Pintu' were among those who attended the party.
Meanwhile, Prasad threw an Iftar party at his wife Rabri Devi's official residence that was attended among others by state Congress chief Chaudhary Mehboob Ali Kaiser and LJP national general secretary Satyanand Sharma.
The RJD supremo said he and the fasting members of the minority community prayed for the peace, brotherhood and social harmony in the state and hoped the wishes made during the holy Ramazan month during fasting are generally granted by the almighty.
