RJD chief Lalu Prasad, who was shifted out of the intensive care unit yesterday after undergoing triple heart surgery on August 27 here, was now undergoing 'cardiac rehabilitation', doctors said.
"Today we have started cardiac rehabilitation process under close medical supervision on Lalu Prasad Yadav where he is being made to do active breathing exercises... He felt energetic after the exercise," said Dr Nilesh Gautam, head of cardiac rehabilitation, Asian Heart Institute.
The 66-year-old RJD leader was operated at the Institute by a team of 20 doctors under the supervision of Dr Ramakanta Panda.

The former Bihar Chief Minister had been diagnosed with aortic stenosis, following which he underwent three heart surgeries (aortic valve replacement, aortic repair and a repair for a three millimetre hole in his heart).
