Reality TV star Khloe Kardashian's estranged husband Lamar Odom, who was admitted to hospital after collapsing at a brothel in Nevada earlier this week, reportedly needs months of rehabilitation to fully recover his condition.
The 35-year-old basketball star regained consciousness, three days after hospitalisation.
Doctors have, however, also told his friends and family that an undetermined amount of damage to his body would be permanent, reported Aceshowbiz.
The rehabilitation will reportedly be more than just physical therapy. Sources said physical, speech and other therapists will work with the former Los Angeles Lakers basketball star for the foreseeable future.
Kardashian will reportedly stay with him throughout the ordeal including the therapy.
Multiple sources told the website that the 31-year-old "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star stayed by his bedside and wanted to see this through.
Kardashian has not commented either on her future relationship with Odom or on how her action would affect her relationship with James Harden.
